GAC AION Debuts Global New Version AION V, RoboSense LiDAR Accelerates the Application of NDA

On July 23, AION, the new energy vehicle division of GAC, launched its first global strategic model. The Global New Version AION V was released simultaneously worldwide, and is available in the 520 km, 650 km, and 750 km ranges. In particular, the 650 km range version is equipped with RoboSense LiDAR, and became the first officially positioned "hard-core intelligent driving SUV" model under 27,600 USD.

“Worldwide intelligent driving” is one of the premium experiences provided by the Global New Version AION V, supported by the integration of a high-performance Orin-X chip and the RoboSense M platform. Based on Gen4 self-evolving AI algorithm and “multi-sensor fusion” technologies, the Global New Version AION V is equipped with NDA functions that operate independently of high-precision maps that can reach 360° comprehensive precision perception and navigate urban environments in any country. 

The RoboSense M platform leads the industry into a new era of mass production for ADAS, boasting powerful high-definition 3D detection capabilities. With the support of 2D MEMS scanning chip technology and modular optical module design, the M Platform integrates high performance, low cost, high interation, and high reliability. Deploying the unit above the front roof of the Global New Version AION V, the M platform significantly enhances the vehicle's perception capabilities and provides driver-assistance in diverse transportation scenarios, delivering a safe intelligent driving experience.

Currently, the M platform has earned design wins for mass production of LiDAR products for 71 vehicle models from 22 global OEMs and Tier 1 customers, and has achieved SOP for 25 vehicle models from 12 of these customers. As of June 30, 2024, the cumulative sales volume of the M platform reached approximately 520,000 units around the world, guaranteeing the driving security of hundreds of thousands of consumers.
